This dashboard provides analyses of different political actors on social media. For now it focuses on German MPs, i.e., politicians that currently are a member of the German Bundestag and present on the Twitter platform. The underlying twitter data is updated on a daily basis (for the time being). The Twitter account data was last updated on September 13th, 2021. Every night an algorithm in the background checks whether there are new tweets, downloads them and adds them to the data. Based on this data the dashboard compiles tables and visualizations focusing on different aspects of digital politics on Twitter.
Right now the dashboard analyzes data from 516 German politicians that have a Twitter account. And it currently analyzes 66574 tweets stemming from the time period 28. December 2022 - 28. March 2023. In this time period the politicians in our sample published on average 1,4 tweets per day. This number comprises original tweets by those politicians, politicians' retweets of others' tweets as well as tweet replies.

The graph below serves as a teaser and visualizes how many tweets our politicians churned out yesterday (time zone is currently CET). The numbers are quite stunning, i.e., yesterday 218 politicians were active and tweeted around 658 times. Importantly, at the moment the sample includes 516 politicians with a Twitter account.
